Have you ever taken a younger sibling out in public and they say or do something that is absolutely mortifying and embarrassing? You can’t just leave them there in the middle of the store, however tempting it may be. That is about how all of Alabama feels with (former) Governor Robert Bentley.

After getting caught sending some very flattering texts to his secretary, threatening a bunch of people, giving jobs to people who didn’t need those jobs, firing a couple of people, and wasting buckets of taxpayer money; our luv guv decided that he would rather be a “small town doctor.” Just a nice, sweet, ole small town dermatologist. Helping out kids and families,  such a valiant guy he is!

For those that are unable to pick up written sarcasm, Robert Bentley was a corrupt hypocrite who wasted money and made some peoples lives very troubled, and after being caught, was given the option to either resin or face the charges brought against him, aaaaand the the Governor’s office quickly came into possession of  Kay Ivey.

Really, my biggest concern at this point is when are we going to take the “Home of Governor Robert Bentley” off of the “Welcome to Columbiana” signs. But hey, at least he’s come to terms with his mistakes and asked for forgiveness from God, or so I assume considering his press conference where he basically told citizens “God has forgiven me, so you need to do the same thing.” I haven’t heard anything from president Trump about it, however his son did tweet about it…Well, welcome to Alabama!
